At Iron Dog LLC, we are committed to delivering our products with efficiency, transparency, and care. This Shipping Policy explains how we handle the shipment of physical products related to the Bläckwood series, including books, merchandise, and special editions.
Third-Party Retailer Purchases
Products purchased through third-party retailers or platforms—including but not limited to Amazon, Barnes & Noble, IndieBound, Kickstarter, or other authorized sellers—are fulfilled and shipped according to the policies of those platforms.
This Shipping Policy applies only to orders placed directly through Iron Dog LLC’s official website. For orders placed on third-party websites, customers must contact the respective retailer for shipping, tracking, delivery, or return inquiries.
1. Order Processing

Orders for physical products (books, merchandise, signed editions) are typically processed within 2–3 business days after payment confirmation.

Orders placed on weekends or holidays will begin processing on the next business day.

You will receive an order confirmation email once your purchase is completed and a shipping confirmation email with tracking information once your order has been dispatched.

Pre-orders: Books and merchandise available for pre-order will ship on or after the official release date. Pre-order customers will receive email notification when items ship.
2. Shipping Methods & Delivery Times
We ship via USPS, UPS, or FedEx depending on destination, product type, and availability.

Domestic Shipping (United States): Standard delivery usually takes 3–7 business days after dispatch depending on carrier and location.

International Shipping: Delivery times vary by destination and customs processing, typically 7–21 business days. Additional customs fees or import duties may apply and are the responsibility of the customer.

Expedited Shipping: When available, expedited options will be shown at checkout for an additional fee.

APO/FPO/DPO Addresses: We ship to military addresses via USPS. Delivery times may vary.
Please note: Delivery timelines are estimates provided by carriers. Iron Dog LLC is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, weather, or events beyond our control.
3. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on product weight, package dimensions, destination, and selected shipping method.

Promotional offers such as "free shipping" may be available periodically and will be clearly noted during checkout.

Bundle orders ship together when possible. If items have different availability (e.g., pre-order combined with in-stock items), we may ship separately or hold the entire order for combined shipment—you will be notified of any split shipments.
4. Shipping Restrictions

We currently ship to most countries worldwide. Certain remote regions or restricted territories may not be available for shipping.

PO Boxes are accepted for standard USPS shipments. UPS and FedEx deliveries require physical street addresses.

We reserve the right to cancel orders to destinations where shipping is prohibited or cost-prohibitive.
5. Risk of Loss
All items purchased from Iron Dog LLC are made pursuant to a shipment contract. Risk of loss transfers to the customer upon delivery of the order to the carrier, except where otherwise required by applicable law. Iron Dog LLC will reasonably assist customers in filing carrier claims for lost or damaged shipments but is not responsible for delays or losses caused by carriers after shipment.
6. Tracking Orders

A tracking number will be provided for most physical product shipments via email once your order is dispatched.

Tracking availability may vary depending on shipping method and destination.

International tracking may be limited once packages enter destination country customs.
7. Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Packages
Lost Packages:

If tracking shows your package as delivered but you have not received it, please:

Wait 24-48 hours (carriers sometimes mark as delivered prematurely)

Contact us within 7 days of delivery confirmation

We cannot guarantee replacement or refund for packages confirmed as delivered; however, we may review claims on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.
Stolen Packages (Porch Piracy): Iron Dog LLC is not responsible for stolen packages after carrier confirms delivery. We recommend:

Shipping to secure locations (workplace, trusted neighbor)

Requiring signature confirmation for valuable orders (available at checkout)

Using carrier hold options (pick up at local facility)

Damaged Packages:

If your package arrives damaged, photograph the packaging and contents immediately.

We will arrange replacement or refund for verified damage.
8. Undeliverable or Returned Packages

If a package is returned due to incorrect address entry, customer refusal, or failure to collect, the customer is responsible for reshipment costs.

Returned packages due to customs issues (unpaid duties, restricted items) may not be eligible for full refund.

Please ensure your shipping details are accurate at checkout to avoid delays or additional charges.

9. Address Changes and Order Cancellations

Once an order has shipped, we cannot modify the delivery address. You must contact the carrier directly.
Cancellations:

Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase if they have not yet shipped.

Once an order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled. You may refuse delivery or initiate a return per our Returns Policy. Returns and refunds are governed by our separate Returns Policy, available on our website.

Pre-order cancellations are accepted up to 48 hours before the scheduled ship date.
10. Pre-Orders and Special Releases

Pre-ordered books ship on or after the official release date announced at time of purchase.

Expected ship dates are estimates and subject to change due to production or distribution delays.

Pre-order customers will receive email updates if ship dates change.

Pre-orders cannot be cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled ship date.

Signed/Limited Editions: Special editions requiring author signatures may have extended processing times (5–10 business days). These will be noted at checkout.
11. Kickstarter and Crowdfunding Orders

Backers of Kickstarter or other crowdfunding campaigns will receive separate fulfillment communications via the campaign platform.

Fulfillment timelines are specified in each campaign and may differ from standard store orders.

Backers must complete shipping surveys by the deadline provided to receive their rewards.

Add-on items purchased through campaigns may ship separately from main pledge rewards.
12. Digital Products and Patreon Subscriptions

Digital content (e-books, downloadable extras, bonus materials) are delivered electronically immediately upon purchase via email or download link.

Patreon memberships and subscription access are managed through Patreon.com and do not involve physical shipping. Access details are provided via your Patreon account.

Physical rewards for Patreon supporters (exclusive merchandise, signed books) are shipped separately according to tier benefits and follow this shipping policy.
13. Bundle and Multi-Item Orders

When possible, multiple items are packaged and shipped together to reduce costs and environmental impact.

If bundle items have different availability (in-stock items with pre-orders), you may choose:

Hold entire order until all items are available (combined shipping)

Split shipment to receive in-stock items immediately (may incur additional shipping charges)

You will be notified if split shipment is necessary and given the option to choose your preference.
14. International Customs and Import Duties

International customers are responsible for all customs fees, import duties, taxes, and brokerage fees assessed by their country.

These charges are not included in our shipping costs and are collected by customs upon delivery.

We cannot mark packages as "gifts" or misrepresent values for customs purposes.

Refusal to pay customs fees may result in package return and forfeiture of refund.
