Iron Dog LLC – Returns and Refunds Policy

This Returns and Refunds Policy governs the return and refund process for products and services purchased through TheButchersofBlackwood.com, operated by Iron Dog LLC ("we," "our," or "us").

 

1. Overview

We stand behind the quality of our products. This policy explains your rights and our procedures for returns, refunds, and exchanges. By making a purchase, you agree to the terms outlined below.

This policy applies only to purchases made directly through TheButchersofBlackwood.com.

Purchases made through third-party retailers are subject to those retailers’ return and refund policies.

Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory consumer rights under applicable law.

 

2. Physical Products

 

2.1 Return Window

Physical products (books, merchandise, apparel, collectibles) may be returned within 30 days of delivery if:

  • The product is defective or damaged upon arrival

  • The wrong item was shipped

  • The product does not match its description

Returns for buyer's remorse, change of mind, or incorrect ordering are accepted within 14 days of delivery at the customer's expense.

Certain returns may be subject to a restocking fee as described in Section 10.3.

 

2.2 Return Process

To initiate a return:

  1. Contact us through our contact form within the applicable return window

  2. Provide your order number, item(s) to return, and reason for return

  3. Await return authorization and instructions (typically provided within 2 business days)

  4. Package item(s) securely in original packaging when possible

  5. Ship to the return address provided in your authorization

Return Shipping Responsibility:

  • Company error/defective items: We provide prepaid return label or reimburse return shipping costs

  • Buyer's remorse/change of mind: Customer pays return shipping costs

 

2.3 Condition Requirements

Returned items must be:

  • Unused and in original condition (unless defective)

  • In original packaging when possible

  • Include all accessories, inserts, and materials received

We reserve the right to refuse returns or issue partial refunds for items not meeting these conditions.

 

2.4 Non-Returnable Physical Products

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Opened items with hygiene concerns (if applicable)

  • Personalized or custom-made items

  • Items marked as "final sale" or "clearance" at time of purchase

  • Gift cards or digital gift certificates

  • Items damaged due to misuse or normal wear after delivery

 

3. Digital Products

 

3.1 Refund Window

Digital products (downloadable content, digital guides, e-books) are generally non-refundable once access has been granted or download has begun.

Refunds for digital products will only be considered within 7 days of purchase if:

  • Technical issues prevent access despite troubleshooting with our support team

  • The product is fundamentally different from its description

  • Duplicate purchase was made in error

 

3.2 No Refunds After Access

Once you have:

  • Downloaded the digital content

  • Accessed the content via login or streaming

  • Received access credentials or license keys

The sale is final unless technical issues persist and cannot be resolved.

 

4. Subscriptions and Memberships

 

4.1 Cancellation Policy

Subscriptions (Patreon memberships, ongoing access to exclusive content) can be cancelled at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle.

 

4.2 No Partial Refunds

We do not provide refunds for partial subscription periods. If you cancel mid-cycle, you retain access through the end of your paid period but will not be charged for subsequent cycles.

 

4.3 Subscription Renewals

Refunds for subscription renewals are only available within 48 hours of the renewal charge if you:

  • Did not intend to renew

  • Did not receive renewal notification due to our system error

  • Experienced unauthorized charges

 

4.4 Patreon Subscriptions

Patreon memberships are subject to Patreon's refund policies in addition to our own. Contact Patreon support for platform-specific billing issues.

 

5. Pre-Orders

 

5.1 Pre-Order Cancellations

Pre-orders can be cancelled for a full refund at any time until 48 hours before the scheduled ship date.

Pre-orders cancelled within 48 hours of shipment or after shipping has begun are non-refundable.

 

5.2 Release Date Changes

If a pre-ordered item's release date is delayed by more than 60 days from the originally announced date, you may cancel for a full refund regardless of the 48-hour window.

 

6. Kickstarter and Crowdfunding Rewards

 

6.1 Campaign-Specific Terms

Products funded through Kickstarter or other crowdfunding campaigns are governed by the specific terms outlined in that campaign.

Generally, crowdfunding rewards are non-refundable once the campaign has successfully funded, as funds are used for production.

 

6.2 Defective Campaign Rewards

Defective items from crowdfunding campaigns will be replaced or refunded on a case-by-case basis within 60 days of delivery.

 

7. Non-Refundable Items and Fees

The following are non-refundable under all circumstances:

  • Digital products after access has been granted (except technical failures within 7 days)

  • Subscription fees for completed billing periods

  • Pre-orders within 48 hours of ship date or after shipping

  • Crowdfunding campaign pledges (except defective items)

  • Personalized, custom, or made-to-order items

  • Items marked "final sale" or "clearance"

  • Gift purchases (only the original purchaser can request refunds)

  • Shipping costs (unless return is due to our error)

  • International customs fees, duties, or taxes

  • Payment processing fees

 

8. Exchanges

 

8.1 Defective or Damaged Items

If you receive a defective or damaged item, we will replace it at no cost to you, including return shipping and replacement shipping.

 

8.2 Size or Style Exchanges

Size or style exchanges for apparel or merchandise are available within 14 days of delivery subject to availability. Customer pays shipping for exchange requests unrelated to defects.

 

8.3 Exchange Process

Contact Us with your order number and exchange request. We will provide instructions and confirm availability before you return the original item.

 

9. Partial Refunds

Partial refunds may be issued in the following circumstances:

  • Items received in acceptable but not perfect condition

  • Bundle orders where only some items are defective

  • Items missing non-essential accessories or packaging

  • Resolution of disputes where full refund is not warranted

Partial refund amounts are determined at our discretion based on the condition and circumstances.

 

10. Refund Processing

 

10.1 Approval Timeline

Once we receive your return or refund request:

  • You will receive email notification of our decision

  • Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days

 

10.2 Refund Method

Refunds are issued via the original payment method:

  • Credit/debit cards: 5-10 business days after processing

  • PayPal: 3-5 business days after processing

  • Other methods: As supported by payment processor

 

10.3 Partial Refunds for Returns

For physical product returns (non-defective), we refund the product cost minus:

  • Original shipping charges (unless we made an error)

  • Return shipping costs (if customer responsibility)

  • Restocking fee of 15% for opened items (if applicable)

 

11. Damaged or Lost Shipments

 

11.1 Damaged in Transit

If your package arrives damaged:

  1. Photograph the packaging and product damage immediately

  2. Contact us within 7 days of delivery

  3. Provide photos, order number, and description

  4. We will file a carrier claim and send replacement or refund

 

11.2 Lost Packages

If tracking shows delivered but you did not receive the package:

  1. Check with household members and neighbors

  2. Verify the shipping address on your order confirmation

  3. Wait 48 hours (carriers sometimes mark delivered early)

  4. Contact us

We will investigate with the carrier. If the package cannot be located after 10 business days, we will issue a replacement or refund.

 

11.3 Package Theft

Iron Dog LLC is not responsible for packages stolen after carrier confirms delivery. We recommend:

  • Shipping to secure locations

  • Requiring signature confirmation (available at checkout)

  • Using carrier hold options for pickup

We may assist with carrier claims but cannot guarantee replacement or refund for stolen packages.

 

12. International Orders

 

12.1 Customs Fees

Customers are responsible for all customs duties, import taxes, and brokerage fees. These charges are non-refundable even if the order is returned.

 

12.2 Return Shipping Costs

International returns require customer to pay return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error or defective product.

 

12.3 Currency and Exchange Rates

Refunds for international orders are processed in the original transaction currency. Exchange rate fluctuations between purchase and refund are the customer's responsibility.

 

13. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank, please contact us directly. We are committed to resolving issues fairly and promptly.

 

13.2 Chargeback Consequences

If you file a chargeback or payment dispute:

  • Your account may be suspended pending investigation

  • Access to digital products and subscriptions will be revoked

  • Future orders may require alternative payment methods

 

13.3 Good Condition Chargebacks

Chargebacks filed after receiving products or services in good condition may be considered abusive or fraudulent and may result in:

  • Permanent account termination

  • Collection efforts for outstanding amounts

  • Legal action in appropriate circumstances

 

14. Refund Denials and Appeals

 

14.1 Grounds for Denial

Refund requests may be denied if:

  • Request is made outside the applicable window

  • Product does not meet return condition requirements

  • Request does not meet policy eligibility criteria

  • Evidence of misuse or attempt to defraud

  • Engage in fraudulent activity or payment disputes

  • Abuse our return/refund policies

  • Engage in harassment or abusive behavior toward staff or community members

 

15.2 No Refunds Upon Termination

Accounts terminated for policy violations forfeit all refund rights. No refunds will be issued for:

  • Remaining subscription periods

  • Previously purchased products or services

  • Digital content access

 

15.3 Termination Notice

We will notify you via email if your account is terminated. You may appeal termination decisions within 30 days by using our Contact Us form.

 

16. Modifications to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Returns and Refunds Policy at any time. Changes will be posted with a revised "Last Updated" date. Material changes affecting pending returns or refund requests will not apply retroactively.
